About Randal

Randal Funchess is a Senior Paralegal with nearly 20 years of experience assisting attorneys and clients with legal matters, with a particular passion for family law. His professional experience, combined with his personal understanding of co-parenting and blended-family dynamics, gives him a practical perspective on the challenges families may face during times of transition. Originally from Chicago, Randal moved to Iowa during high school, where he discovered his passion for helping others. He completed his education in Iowa and spent much of his early professional career there before expanding his experience to assist attorneys with matters in Colorado beginning in 2018. After relocating to Arizona in 2020, Randal continued his commitment to serving families, including working with Southern Arizona Legal Aid in Tucson as a Volunteer Lawyers Program (VLP) Family Law Paralegal. Throughout his career, he has assisted with family law matters and understands that behind every case are real people, children, relationships, and important decisions about the future. As Sr Paralegal at Forge Family Law, Randal strives to help clients feel informed, prepared, and supported as they navigate the legal process. He believes that while the legal system can feel overwhelming, having a knowledgeable and compassionate team beside you can make a meaningful difference. Outside of the office, Randal is an avid college football fan and passionate Iowa Hawkeyes supporter. He also loves traveling, exploring new places, and spending time with family.
